Terms of Service

The plain-language rules for using Rollio.

Last updated: September 20, 2026

These terms cover how you can use Rollio, what happens with your photos, and what you can expect from us.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Rollio. They apply when you use the Rollio app or website. By using Rollio, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

2. Who can use Rollio

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rollio. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Rollio only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using Rollio, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. Your account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@rollio.cam if you think someone has used your account without permission.

4. How Rollio works

A host creates an event and sets a reveal time. Guests join the event by scanning a code or opening a link, take photos on their own phones, and the photos are revealed to everyone in the event at the reveal time. Features may change over time as we improve the app.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and videos you add to Rollio. We do not claim ownership of your content.

To run the service, you give Rollio permission to store, copy, and display your content for the purpose of providing the event to you and the people in it. This permission lasts only as long as we need it to provide the service and ends when you or the event owner delete the content, subject to normal backup cycles.

You are responsible for the content you add. Only add photos and videos that you have the right to share. Be considerate of the people in your photos and follow any request to remove an image of someone who does not want it shared.

6. Acceptable use

When you use Rollio, you agree not to:

  • Break the law or use Rollio for anything illegal.
  • Upload content that is hateful, harassing, sexual content involving minors, or content that violates someone else's rights.
  • Share someone else's private images without their permission.
  • Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts.
  • Copy, resell, or scrape the service or its content without our permission.

If you break these rules, we may remove content or limit your access, as described below.

7. Photos of other people

Events often include photos of other guests. If you host an event, let your guests know that photos will be shared with everyone in the event. If you are a guest and you do not want a photo of you shared, you can ask the host or the person who took it to remove it, or contact us for help.

8. Payments

Rollio is free for small events up to the participant limit shown in the app. For larger events, you pay a one-time fee for that event. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.

Prices are shown in the app before you pay and may include taxes depending on where you are. If you buy through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store handles the payment and its own terms and refund rules also apply. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@rollio.cam and we will try to help.

9. Our intellectual property

Rollio, including the app, the website, our name, and our logo, belongs to us and is protected by law. These terms do not give you any right to use our brand or our software except to use the service as intended.

10. App stores

If you download Rollio from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to that store's terms. Those stores are not responsible for Rollio or for support, and any questions about the app should come to us at support@rollio.cam.

11. The service is provided as is

We work hard to keep Rollio running well, but we provide it on an as is basis. We do not promise that the service will always be available, error free, or that photos can never be lost. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Rollio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the event that the claim relates to, or, if you paid nothing, to a reasonable amount as determined by law.

Some places do not allow certain limits on liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

13. Suspending or ending access

You can stop using Rollio at any time and can delete your account in the app settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. If we end the service, we will give reasonable notice where we can so you can save your photos.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Rollio after a change, you accept the updated terms.
